The Ascend Conference for Asian Leadership is an annual event that was forced to go virtual in 2020 due to COVID. Planet X was asked to create a virtual environment to serve as the stage for the live-streamed conference opening event. The Unreal Engine based environment incorporated three speakers from their separate homes being streamed and composited in real time onto the virtual stage. Planet X also created a virtual environment in which ten teams remotely presented their project before a panel of four judges. These live events were viewed by thousands of conference attendees around the world.
