The founders of the Asian American Authors Book Club (AAABC), in collaboration with Barnes & Noble, hosted a live-streamed discussion with Indra Nooyi, best selling author and former CEO of PepsiCo, and the first woman of color and immigrant to lead a Fortune 50 company. Due to the sudden surge of the omicron COVID variant, a planned in-person event was cancelled and Planet X was asked on short notice to create a virtual set and produce a live streamed event that would still have the excitement of an in-person event. The AAABC founders Savio Chan and Betty Ng were filmed live in Planet X Studios and composited in real-time into a sophisticated library setting, using the Unreal Engine-based Pixotope platform while Indra Nooyi joined remotely from home. This allowed for engaging "face to face" conversations, as well as the ability for the audience to submit questions to be asked in real time.
